Position Details
Job Purpose
We are looking for a Senior Android Developer (with 5+ years of software development experience) for the development of Android
applications targeting mobile phones and other hand-held devices. Your primary focus will be development of Android applications and integration with Restful back-end APIs/services running on AWS. You’ll join our existing team of font-end developers, and other full-stack developers working on building our next set of products. We expect the person to be a collaborative problem solver, team player and committed to building quality products.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Android application development.
- Experience designing and developing software to integrate with and support hardware devices.
- Strong experience in designing and developing end-to-end Android applications.
- Proficiency in modern object-oriented programming languages such as Java or Kotlin.
- Strong understanding of Android SDK, application architecture, and development best practices.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement Android applications using Java or Kotlin to support seamless hardware device integration and an enhanced user experience.
- Collaborate with Product Management, Hardware, QA, and Software Engineering teams to build scalable and reliable solutions.
- Define technical requirements and create detailed software architecture and design specifications.
- Make sound technical decisions with a strong focus on software quality, security, performance, and maintainability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues while ensuring application stability and reliability.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving engineering standards and development practices.
